Bonded by Death

It's been a while since I drew a picture of Katar and his Pokemon, so here is one of the reason why he hates the Buster Ghosts so much - because two of his Pokemon were involved with the Buster Ghosts... and a death was involved with both of these Pokemon....

In the first pic, south of Castelia City, as Katar was a student at Castelia University, this is Katar about 15 years ago, Katar's first Pokemon, a Bouffalant called Watanka, and Mr Trick as a Spoink... or at least, after some members of the Buster Ghosts, Vladimir, Voodoo and Paranorm, had killed Watanka by taking his soul.....

This was reason enough for Katar to hate the Buster Ghosts, but 3 years later, after he became a supervising professor at the University, Katar and Mr Trick were visiting Icirrus City, and decided to observe Dragonspiral Tower, but they came across Lamia, then a Gabite, and her husband, a Shelgon called Achilles. And... they were under attack from the Buster Ghosts....
Katar and Mr Trick tried to make it across the river and help them, as they decided that no one deserved to be killed by the Buster Ghosts. Achilles and Lamia were able to kill some of the Haunters that Vladimir had brought with him, but Vladimir was able to steal Achilles' soul, and he and his remaining Buster Ghosts fled, leaving a tearful Lamia by the side of her dead husband. Katar and Mr Trick sympathised with Lamia, and Katar said, 'Don't worry.. I know just how it feels to have a loved one taken from you by those heartless sadists.... But don't worry.. I'm sure that we'll be able to get our revenge on them one day... ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.....' Lamia has since been the closest friends to Katar and Mr Trick, even though she does not like showing her feelings and hides them beneath a heart of stone.

Celaeno and Eilert joined Katar's team a few years later, but they were not involved with the Buster Ghosts, but Katar was still able to befriend them, and they warmed up to him.....
