Caught In A Cold Front 19

UPDATE: Corrected a typo in the fourth panel.

Wow, well, this one was a long time coming.... Here, at long last, is my latest part of Caught in a Cold Front. During my exam part, I was having a hiatus to focus on work. But at long last, here it is.

The argument between Voodoo, Paranorm and the mysterious figure and our heroes continue. Roxy demands that there are no masks to the real identities of the Pokémon, as she calls the mysterious figure a coward - and the figure lowers his hood.... Recognise him?

But the three villains call Roxy a hypocrite, because they claim that Amber Industries is hiding something as well. And here is Roxy's main weakness - even though she is very intelligent, she will follow her trainer's commands to no end due to her love for him..... But this can tend to cloud her judgement - as shown by her use of Megahorn on the cave wall.

But as well as some Gastlys that have caught up with their masters, some mysterious Froslasses come in to attack our heroes.... Could they be familiar to Twist Mountain at all? And Roxy and Drake, who are scientists at heart, begin to realise that the 'superstitious nonsense' may not have been as nonsensical as they thought.

As the fight scene begins (yes, I do admit, as clichéd as they are - I do like drawing fight scenes ), Voodoo breaks the fourth wall. The barrier to the Time Gate begins to be blocked off by powerful Shadow Balls and boulders - much to Drake's sadness (and yes, his last name is Ambrose. ) He manages to catch a piece of rock that came from the Time Gate's other side, that was blasted towards her by a Shadow Ball reaching the other side, but Roxy saves him from being crushed by a boulder falling towards him.

Mulch suggests to Aqua to break through a wall to clear a way out, as Roxy herself is preoccupied - and I enjoyed drawing Aqua going into his shell, and using Hydro Pump to propel himself through the wall. (Or should it have been Shell Smash? Can someone help me with this, if they can think of a better move to have used here.)

Before the cavern can collapse, everyone rushes out - and Drake contacts..... Researcher Topaz.... Wow... Sound familiar?


Meanwhile, Charm is helping everyone down to the cavern below, because Honey tired herself out by carrying Chalky down - trying to prove an example to a certain Staraptor... Honey has a habit to prove to people that just because she's a princess, she doesn't sit back and let everyone else do work for her - she often is the first in the line - as shown by her carrying Chalky, an ARCANINE, down by herself... Even though Stubbs says he has a broken wing from the fall.... Trust me, Stubbs may be vain, but he's not a liar. And because Charm is the longest Pokémon there, she's the only one left who can help everyone else down. Into a chamber of.... Snorunts. And Pingu catches Charlotte and Pebbles from Charm, before Simon lets himself down.... Unaware that Ned is catching up to them with his knife....

Yep, Ned slashes at Charm with his knife - but Charm was actually trying her hardest to hang on to help Simon down, so she only let go when Ned slashed at her... Cutting her badly. And now, they start falling, as Chalky and Stubbs rush to help them...

Bolt hears the commotion from below, and begs to follow his police dog instincts and give chase.
