New Student Screwball

YES, I am aware that I most likely got the design of the classroom wrong from how it looks in the show.....

With that out of the way, seen as I've been getting back into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I decided to draw some more fanart of it. I drew a new student joining the school that Cheerilee teaches at (er, does that school have a name, by any chance - Ponyville Elementary? I don't know, did they ever say the name of the school in the show I can't remember... ) - none other than Screwball .

For those of you who aren't aware, Screwball is that crazy looking pink filly we see flying in the air in Return to Harmony Part 2 - I think we saw her after Twilight begins turning grey as the powers of harmony begin dying. A fun little headcanon in the MLP:FiM fanbase is that Screwball was born from Discord's chaotic powers - my favourite theory that I've seen online is from the following deviation by - emmymew13.deviantart.com/art/D… 

In the deviation summary, the following theory for how Screwball was created is written  - 'Discord was testing some purple cotton candy clouds, but it tasted nasty. So he was upset that all that time he spend on it was wasted so angrily he threw the cloud into the air and destroyed it by throwing lighting at the cloud. As he turned away he heard a small laugh. Discord turned to see a small purple filly slowly floating down from where he threw the cloud. Discord grabbed the filly out of the air and saw her cross eyes with little white swirls in them. The little filly melted his heart and he knew he had to care for her. He was now a Daddy Discord.'

So, okay, my picture is what I think it would be like if Screwball ever went to school - Discord would have probably thought it would be good for a laugh, and Screwball wanted to meet some other fillies to play/create chaos with.

Needless to say, everyone is surprised at the crazy new classmate they have - we have Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle all sitting around her in this picture. And yes, the drawing on Screwball's desk is of Discord....

I hope you all enjoy this picture, I had a lot of fun drawing it - even if the design of the classroom isn't consistent with the show.... BTW, the writing on the billboard on the wall in the background reads '4+1=MOO' and 'Rosees arr red, vilots arr bloo, sum poheems reim, vis wun duzn't.' Haha, looks like Paranorm the Dusknoir from my Pokémon Tales comics has been here....
And by the way, the title of the deviation is a reference to the SpongeBob episode New Student Starfish.
