Pokemon Tales - Feng Shui Sketches

Another collection of sketches of another Pokemon Tales character I'd like to develop some more - Feng-Shui the Mienshao (Feng for short). Seen as she's Kindle the Typhlosion's wife, I thought it fitting she'd get some more development next.

Seen as her village was destroyed in a fire caused by the Buster Ghosts and their subordinates when she was a child (see Burning Up For You), she does feel uneasy around fire. It hasn't stopped her from loving Kindle, and he's helped her literally begin warming up to being around fire again, but whenever she sees it, she can feel understandably nervous. (On a side note, I've been thinking about Feng's age compared to Kindle's, and it's actually not that different. When I first drew that comic, I never took that into account , but I've thought about that now. )

In addition to this, she's taken the fact she's given her children different coloured scarves (a tradition from her birthplace is everyone wears a scarf of a different colour )  to a new level... 

After the destruction of her village, she realised that their traditions and culture was becoming forgotten to the world. Feng began noticing there are numerous other cultures that are becoming forgotten, so to prevent that from happening, she's become a chronicler of cultures - writing down any information she can find on tribes and cultures to make sure they don't become forgotten and to help the world become aware of their practices again.  

While having a gentle nature about her, when she sees someone mock olden ways and insult ancient traditions, she does not stand for it in the slightest, and uses her whip like sleeve... things to literally whip them into their senses. I drew them a bit longer than in previous drawings of her here.

The scrolls I drew have some insignias from groups I've already drawn and some I have yet to show. Feng has been researching them on her travels- they are the House of Lago (Sassy's clan), the Steel Soldiers (Tyson's clan), the Buster Ghosts (looking for a way to defeat them, no doubt), the Dewdrop Druids (Deadwood's clan), the Fire Birds (Smithee's clan) and the Fellowship of Four (the Oricorio tribe that Aolani is linked to.) Her travels take her around the world, which is why she's not always with Kindle, and Kindle is busy helping his team, but whenever they meet, they share the experiences they have encountered.
